The studio really brought the manga to life beautifully! Art, animation and OST are all excellent, though I must say, the “flower” in Tadano’s hair is even more noticeable here than it was in the manga. xD

The seiyuu must be making ton of money from that alone, lol

Shinoaki's voice probably had a lot of editing and all to make it sound like that, it was made to fit her ditzy character

Yeah komi speaking like shinoaki would be disturbing lol,also i too at first was annoyed by shinoaki voice a little but it grew on me and i actually now think her voice is cute lol

man damn dont talk about it. i am that kind of person who feels anxious if i miss to read something. i'd pause each and everytime there was something written there and read the whole friging thing. the best part i felt was when same text simultaneously comes of the screen at very high speed with varying backgroound i love that part

How abt disastrous life of Saiki K subbed ? there are 4-5 lines on subtitles on each side with top screen and bottom, sometimes subtitles on the side as well.

i mean no harm fellow weeb but in what manner does this episode remind you of the anime koe no kitachi also known as a silent voice?

Shoko struggled to get her words to sound right like (pronunciation, intonation) as she was deaf. She also had a notebook with her at all times and wrote on it when people couldn't understand sign language and what she was saying if I recall correctly. It made it hard to communicate to her and she was bullied because she was perceived as strange to some.

Komi on the other hand finds it impossible to talk like a normal person would and she'd stutter because of her crippling anxiety and fear of rejection (socializing is hard). She resorts to writing what she wants to say instead.

I think Komi and Shoko are quite similar in a way for different reasons.
They both struggle to talk and that they write on something to get their thoughts across.

I just realized they're both named Shouko

First of all, it's Koe no KAtachi. Second, Komi's so silent, as mentioned by Mr Gold, that I just couldn't not think of Koe no Katachi. Just...the atmosphere as well. If Shouko wasn't bullied, this kind of scenario would've been nice as well

This looks like it could be really funny so I hope it won't disappoint. I find it amusing how the main characters name translates to "Just a person" and it seems like the others characters names are based on their personalities.

The entire school's thirst for Komi is unreal lol, poor Tadano is already receiving malicious energy on his very first day of school. The Ninja is real dangerous lol, he really could have cut Tadano if he had changed his aim a little bit.

Aww, the scene where Tadano tells her he will be her first friend and help her get 99 more was so sweet.

WTF i didnt know his name means "Just a person", also i already can tell there's a bunch of quirky characters in this anime, seems like the authors take the time to write them

yes the writer used puns like this on every characterrs name. till moment , tadano's name has been disclosed which directly translates into just a normal persson or something like thaat. komi's name translates into pun regarding her communication problem - komyushou. other characters also have these kind of punny names

Communication disorder... I can relate to that, i'm not sure what's the difference but i have extreme social anxiety, I can't even order food properly, and one time I went to starbucks by myself and I said the name wrongly and the worker there kinda laugh at me... man it's tough... I basically do everything alone, eating alone, watch movie, shopping, I even eat my lunch in my own car... That was my University life before covid, but because of pandemic we have online classes now, so things got easier for me

Everyone had that experience with starbucks, their way of ordering for a single coffee is just horrible in many ways

I gotta say the animation alone is a 10/10 for me. They put everything into these scenes. I kept rewatching them bc they're so aesthetically pleasing.
